Arson Probe In Two Fires Strikes Gardner and South Wilmington
Deputy Curt Leach reports two fires in Grundy County early today. A vacant Halpin estate two story home on Stonewall Rd burned to the ground after 12 05 a m. A second fire at the South Wilmington ball park damaged an American Legion refreshment stand at 1 40 a m. Officials suspect arson after a five gallon gas can was found at the first scene. The state fire marshal is investigating.
