ICCS to Probe Viet Cong Bombing Claims in South Vietnam

The International Commission of Control and Supervision unanimously agreed to investigate Viet Cong charges that U S planes bombed areas inside South Vietnam. The United States denied the claims as ICCS delegates, including Canadians, Hungarians and Poles, voted to pursue the investigation. The panel also planned to probe shelling of an ICCS compound near Ben Cat and alleged North Vietnamese troop movements into the South.

Astronauts Conrad Kerwin and Weitz observed a Saturn 5 rocket lifting a lab toward orbit, with a Saturn 1B on a nearby pad ready for a 1 pm Tuesday launch if conditions hold. Skylab 2 and 3 crews will inhabit the station for 56 days later this year.
