Explosion injures 20 in Madison Illinois
An early morning blast leveled a vacant two story house in Madison across the Mississippi from St. Louis. Police said natural gas may be responsible. 20 people injured, five hospitalized in good condition including three children and a woman. Firefighters from Madison and Venice contained the blaze by 5 30 a m and authorities continue to determine the cause.

Willow Springs man missing after boat goes over dam on Kankakee River
The Wilmington Fire Department searches the Kankakee River for a 34 year old Willow Springs man missing and presumed drowned after his boat went over the dam at 10 18 a m Thursday. Deborah Paty 19 was rescued and treated at St Joseph Hospital Joliet. Police were notified by two boys who witnessed the incident.
