Morris planned its annual Poppy Day event on Friday led by Mrs. Nicholas DiJohn Poppy chairman of the American Legion Auxiliary. The 50th anniversary drive supports veteran welfare child programs and local aid for veterans and families with funds from the Poppy distributions. Memorial flowers were crafted by veteran patients in Illinois hospitals.
