POW Releases Bring 34 Prisoners Home To Marcos Welcome
At Clark Air Base in the Philippines 34 prisoners of war were released by Viet Cong forces in Hanoi. Among them were 27 American military personnel, three American civilians, two West German medical workers and the only foreign woman, nurse Monika Schwinn. President Marcos greeted the arrivals with Adm. Noel Gaylor and U.S. Ambassador Henry A Byroade present.

Cat captured after four days of hide and seek
A cat holed up under a house at 419 East Main Street was caught by Morris police at 9 45 a m Saturday after four days on the run. It reportedly bit 11 year old Letha Brown of 326 East Jefferson Street on the right hand early Wednesday. The animal was taken to Dr Edward Connor for observation. Life is mostly a mixture of grin and bitters.
