He was held until 11 30 a m when a friend posted bail. He paid 10 dollars and five dollars in costs and is due in magistrate court March 26. Martin said he was empty semi trucking back to Kentucky from Iowa.

Insurance rates rise for offshore drilling gear

Offshore drilling and production equipment insurance costs have climbed sharply in recent years due to hurricanes. A spokesman for Southern Marine & Aviation Underwriters Inc. said new London market rates will more than double the old for equipment on the Louisiana and Texas coast.
