Damage suit filed over fatal Grundy County crash
A $100,000 damage suit was filed in Grundy County Circuit Court against the estate of Kathleen Harding after the September 18, 1966 crash near Saratoga Township that killed Harding and Steffes daughter Diane Lynn. Wesley L. Steffes, Saratoga Township, administrator of Diane Lynn Steffes estate, alleges negligence by Mrs. Harding and names her estate executor in the action.

Mausoleum Demolition Ordered at Evergreen Cemetery
The Morris Cemetery Association plans to demolish the deteriorated mausoleum at Evergreen Cemetery near the main entrance and relocate 71 remaining interments by Sept 1. The building, started in 1912 and bought by the association in 1915 for 9900, now stands in disrepair with 172 once entombed, and remains slated for removal or burial at another site.
