Welcome Farms open for tours in Kendall County Sunday
Kendall County joins 12 counties in Welcome Farms from noon to 4 PM Sunday. The event, by University of Illinois Cooperative Extension Service, lets urban visitors tour dairy and other farms to see food production. In Oswego Township the J George Smith dairy hosts tours with local dairymen guiding visitors.

Bloodmobile collects 116 pints at Morris VFW
The Grundy County Red Cross Bloodmobile at the Morris VFW drew 138 potential donors Tuesday, with 116 pints collected and 66 advance appointments. First-time donors included Tom Haas and Gloria Prombo, Morris Community High School graduates.

Marseilles man held on battery charge after arrest
Ronad Leroy Orvis, 22, of Rte. 1 Marseilles, jailed on a battery charge after his wife accused him of twisting and scratching her arm in Federal Paper Board parking lot. He was arrested at the Marseilles station and transferred to Grundy County Jail on a $100 bond. Next bloodmobile at VFW Hall August 13 with donors listed from Morris and area towns.

Murphy suit against Anderson Pantaleone Perona dismissed
A June 14 1965 lawsuit filed by Jack Murphy against Robert T Anderson Mrs Marge Anderson Peter J Pantaleone Mrs Juanita Pantaleone John Perona and Mrs Twyla Perona was dismissed in Grundy County Circuit Court on Murphy's oral motion. Murphy alleged an April 15 1959 oral real estate sale agreement for Lots 12 13 part of Lot 14 and Block 17 Fordyce Addition Diamond with a $600 cash or labor payment and claimed Perona owed $1145 for work and labor. He also said Perona refused to convey and had conveyed to Anderson and Pantaleone to defeat his rights. Dismissal occurred at Murphy's cost.
