Sentence Man for Plano Burglary
Downers Grove man William R. Mikeska was sentenced to three to four years in the state penitentiary for the March 4 burglary of the Holland Drug Store near Plano. He pleaded guilty and waived a jury trial at the Kendall County Courthouse. Accomplices Bobby Givens and Lewis Gardner face court dates June 23 and July 27 and are jailed in Kendall County.

Driver Hurt After Ramp Collision on I 80 I 55 Turn
Mrs. Anne Pedi 60 of Chicago was westbound on I 80 and failed to negotiate the northbound ramp to I 55 hitting a guard rail at 6:30 am. She received minor injuries and was treated at St. Joseph Hospital Joliet and released. Passengers Eleanor Pedi 43 of Skokie and Suzanne 17 were uninjured. Mrs. Pedi was ticketed for traveling too fast for conditions.
