Mazon Woman Dies in I-80 Crash Near Morris
Mrs. Cecil Jullienne Dutton age 33 of rural Mazon and mother of three died in a single vehicle crash when her 1967 Oldsmobile struck a bridge pier on Interstate 80 five miles east of Morris. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner W. Clark Davis. Funeral arrangements were set for Holdingford Minnesota. Survived by husband Cecil and three daughters. Born June 26 1937 in St Wendell Minnesota. Married July 4 1958 in Tijuana Mexico.

Five drown in Mississippi River near Chester Illinois
Randolph County Sheriff Ralph C. Bollinger said boats recovered the bodies of Norma Clark 11 Cindy Clark 9 and Robin Phillips 11 from the Mississippi River. The girls had been in a car that plunged off a steep city street into the river on Friday. The bodies were found downstream and away from shore as searchers continued for two missing youths.

Yorkville approves 260 acre annexations and liquor license changes
Yorkville City Council signed three annexation agreements totaling about 260 acres including a 225 acre Ter rac Countryside Center on U S 34 and Illinois 47 with plans for a shopping center bank motel restaurant complex and 500 home lots. The panel also added eight acres to link to Countryside Center and about 27 acres of the State Game Farm. The liquor ordinance was amended to grant two retail and one package license with a 500 floor ratio up to 4 000. Sunday sales allowed for package liquor. Additional actions set aside 20 000 for street improvements and raised library tax from 12 to 15 percent. Water system upgrades costing about 12 000 were approved and a two hour downtown parking limit was extended citywide effective July 1.

Gasoline pump switch damaged hose on ground paint splattered. no items missing. Fingerprints being checked. A car seen turning around near the area and motorcycle tracks noted.

Four of nine babies born to Brodrick still living in Sydney

Semi hits signal and wall near Maria's Pizza weekend wrecks

Albuquerque youths clash with police over disorder
