Seneca cyclist injured in highway crash involving a crow
Jeffrey Lawry, 29, of 250 Commerce St. in Seneca, was injured Tuesday at 1 17 p.m. when a crow struck his westbound motorcycle on U S 6 about 250 feet east of Circle A Farm. He was admitted for observation at Morris Hospital. Lawry’s 1975 Kawasaki was heavily damaged and moved to the Morris Kawasaki dealer.

Plans for riding academy face review in Kendall County
Kendall County Plan Commission reviewed Donald and Margaret Drobac’s proposal to rezone about six acres at Illinois 126 and 71 from agriculture to agriculture special use for a riding academy and stable. The request was denied for noncompliance with the comprehensive plan. restrictions included cap on 25 horses and 20 parking spaces, sign permit, waste disposal approval, grass waterways, rotated grazing, soil-based use limits, and triannual review. An attorney noted possible horse sales but no public exhibitions. A soil report showed variable hazards across the site and warned limited space could stress waste disposal. The panel also discussed relaxing the 20 acre rule for ag residential uses and invited Kendall County agriculture extension adviser John Jacobs to speak. A separate petition to rezone Silver Wheel subdivision near Oswego was tabled at petitioners’ request.
