Davis Construction Co. received multiple road and surface contracts totaling over 118,000. A 50,000 motor fuel tax appropriation was approved for 1971 county road maintenance including seal coats and dust control on several roads. Crooked Creek Woods subdivision on Illinois 126 in Kendall Township was tabled for further study. Woodland Acres was also tabled. A 21-acre Max and Licetta McKittrick development and six lots was proposed. Final payment on a USDA county technical services contract was deferred awaiting map coloring completion.

Minooka Board discusses noise from local company trucks
Residents on East Wapella Street complain that noise from Minooka Material Service Co. trucks and machinery disturbs the area. The board plans an open meeting with the company after President Heap returns. A garbage disposal fund is set up and weed control along the highway will be coordinated with the county. The Grundy County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to retain a seven member Grundy County Planning Commission.
