Minooka High announces six new teachers and staff resignations
At a Thursday night board meeting six new hires were named for Minooka High School including Debbie Stevens English Steve Hensel math and basketball coach Merril Van Allen librarian Nancy Fisk business education and girls PE Vern Oaks English and speech and Steve Fannin science and football coach. Resignations were accepted from Richard Kubinski and Sonja Peterson and Barbara Munk was also approved for departure. Approximately 14 applications have been received for a position with salary set at 4200 dollars annually. Bids will be opened July 8 for fuels and milk. The board approved paying two students 2.75 an hour for extra work and arranged student accident and high risk insurance with Borens Insurance Agency the school covering 14 of the high risk policy.
