Tank explosion burns driver on Interstate 80 near Illinois 47
Victor Gluschenko, 23, of Joliet, was listed in fair condition after a diesel fuel tank exploded on the shoulder of Interstate 80 about five miles west of Illinois 47. He was burning from the shoulders, neck and face and taken to Morris Hospital by a passing motorist. Police say a cigarette sparked the blast while he was checking the tank.
