The Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees set April 14 for the election to fill three vacancies. Terms for A A Wills Robert P Kiep and John F Cirricione will run to November 1983 under a state election schedule. Grundy County appoints George Brown to regional planning panel

In Seneca Illinois police report that the mother Mrs Juanitta White of Dallas Texas abducted her three children ages 8 11 from their trailer home with two hired men after the death of her 7 year old son Wade in an abandoned mine shaft. The abduction follows the boy s drowning Dec 15 and heightened concern over the town s dozen to fifteen miles of abandoned coal mine tunnels. Federal and state authorities moved in to assess collapse risks and plan mine sealing while the search for the children continues.
