Utah inmate Gary Gilmore ended a 25 day hunger strike by eating a cheese and baloney sandwich in his cell late Monday. The Supreme Court approved Utah carrying out his death sentence and after a two hour strategy session with lawyers Gilmore asked for food. Guards at Utah State Prison said the meal was served around 11 30 pm.

Jailed for stealing judge's car in Iowa
