Kendall County seeks two robbery suspects in Newark incident
Kendall County sheriffs office asks for help locating two white males about 23 or 24 who robbed Whiteakers Standard Service Station in Newark Thursday evening. They tied up the attendant Gregory J. Auto Wreck After Train Hit at Tabler Road Crossing
A Joliet motorist Jose C. Fuentres and two Joliet passengers escaped injury when their 1965 Mercury was struck by an eastbound Rock Island freight at Tabler Road crossing north of US 6. The car was empty after the collision. Deputy John Loughnane said weather was wet and foggy with no signals at the crossing. The train continued to Blue Island without incident. engineer Kenneth Cameron and conductor James A. Bunyen were uninjured.

A Coal City woman Beverly Hollingsworth 25 is in fair condition at Morris Hospital after a single vehicle crash on McArdle Road east of Mazon Creek Bridge. Her husband Harry 24 was driving and treated and released. their 9 month old son Anthony sustained facial lacerations. The couple's 1971 Pontiac Station wagon was towed to Stotts Body Shop.
