The Gardner Junior Women’s Club poster contest winners were announced across four grades with displays at the Exchange Bank and local stores. The Gardner Fire Department held a regular meeting at the firehouse with an oyster supper and social time.
The Rev Steven R Woita assistant pastor at Bethlehem Lutheran will be honored at a farewell reception Sunday in Fellowship Hall from 2 30 pm with a 3 pm program. He will become pastor of First Lutheran in Lee near DeKalb. He and wife Lucile have led Lutheran youth ministries and chaired Chicago Lutheran Youth Congress.

The Grundy County Board of Realtors held its November meeting at Drake's Farm with Frank Onorato leading the business session. A mock trial was presented by board members including Onorato, Burroughs, Ginocchio, Tyer, Stewart, Conley, Nicolson, Green and Pearson, with twelve jurors chosen from attendees.
