Four members of a family traveling to a reunion were killed when their car crossed into an oncoming lane and struck a bridge southeast of Leland Illinois. Harold J Harbi 52 Audrey 48 Sandra Strong 24 and infant Jeffrey Niles 2 months died at the scene or on arrival. The crash occurred at 5 53 p m on U S 34 near the Illinois 23 junction.

Morris Woman Ticketed After Illinois 47 Accident
A Morris woman, Marjorie Larson, 51, was ticketed by state police for improper lane usage after a collision 4 miles south of Yorkville on Illinois 47 at 3 10 p m Sunday. William Vogt 29 of Elgin and his wife Minnie 26 and their two children were treated and released at Copley Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Larson was not injured. Vogt s 1969 Ford was towed from the scene. Larson s 1968 Ford sustained minor damage and she drove away.
