Robbery At Will County Service Station Near Braidwood
A 5 am armed robbery at Bill's Sunoco near Braidwood, Will County, is linked to an earlier Willow Brook theft. Rick Oster, 17, said two men, in a blue grey 1964 Pontiac, took between 70 and 80 dollars after filling their car with gas. Oster was held in a storage room 20 to 30 minutes. he was uninjured. Trooper John Perona led the investigation.

Report Scamen Improves at Joliet Hospital
Albert Scamen, 61, of Route 2, was reported improved in the intensive care unit of St. Joseph Hospital Joliet where he is held for observation after injuries from a husker attachment falling on him at the Robert Gahlbeck farm two miles east of Morris on Cemetery Road. He had a scalp laceration needing stitches and an injury to his left hip and was moved from Morris Hospital to St. Joseph Hospital the same night.
