Thomas J Diven life traced from 1888 hatchet find

A Chicago lawyer turned world traveler and author formed from a 200 acre Wilmington area estate. Thomas J Diven died in 1917 after a career spanning Wabash Railroad defense and travel to Mexico South America Australia and New Zealand. Grandchildren live in Wilmington Merced and Yorkville. He published on travel and anthropology with sharp critique of U S lawmakers.

Parents request organ donation after son's death

Orlando AP report states 20 year old Paul Wojcik, an A student at Florida State University, was fatally injured when struck by a stolen car. After consultation with surgeons and a priest, his parents asked doctors to remove his breathing tubes, and he died shortly after. They requested his kidneys be donated to help others live.
