Fatal collision at Illinois 47 Gardners area claims Chicago woman
A two car crash on August 3 at the Gardner blacktop and Illinois 47 intersection killed Mrs. Ulysses Humphries 62 of Chicago after eight days in Morris Hospital with internal injuries. Four others were injured including Sherman Adams 46 of Chicago and his daughter Patty 3. Adams was cited for running a stop sign. The incident marks Grundy County’s eighth traffic death in 1966. An inquest date has not been set.

Lunar Orbiter On Course For Moon Orbit

Gunman killed after exchange with police at New Haven gun club
In a noon attack at the Winchester Gun Club two men and two women were wounded before a gunman was shot by police sergeant John Widmann and died at a New Haven hospital.
