Grundy County shifts to 43rd district in redistricting plan
State redistricting filed with the Secretary of State places Grundy County in the 43rd district instead of the 42nd. Incumbents for the 43rd include Sen. Edward McBroom and Reps. Thomas R. Houde C. R. Hamilton and James R. Washburn. The 43rd adds Kankakee Iroquois and Ford counties plus Will County townships Reed Custer Wesley Wilmington and Florence and Champaign County townships Brown East Bend Harwood Kerr.

Nine Hurt In Series Of Wisconsin Area Crashes

Seneca man charged after high speed chase near Ottawa
James Ammons, 27, of Seneca faced multiple charges after a pursuit when a trooper tried to stop him for speeding on Illinois 71. He led six state police cars for 15 miles and allegedly attempted to run down an officer at a roadblock near Illinois 71 and I 80 northwest of Ottawa. Charges include speeding eluding driving with a revoked license illegal transportation of liquor and a firearm and aggravated assault.
