Pope Paul VI to be buried in grotto tomb at St Peter's
Vatican officials said Pope Paul VI will be buried Saturday in a marbled lined tomb he designed in the grottoes beneath St. Peter's Basilica after lying in state Thursday and Friday. Work on the tomb began as cardinals gathered to set the path for selecting a new pope. Ludovico Montini, the pope's elder brother, attended the Castel Gandolfo vigil. A simple motorcade will transfer the body to the Vatican. Burglars stole about $1,500 in fishing equipment from Frank's Bait Shop in Carbon Hill. Two motorcyclists remained hospitalized after separate accidents, John Hopwood Sr. and Kevin J. Kelly, both listed in fair condition at St. Joseph Hospital.

Wrigley mansion eyed as historic landmark in Chicago
The Chicago Planning Department backs declaring the vacant 86 year old Wrigley Mansion a historical landmark instead of demolishing it. The commission will seek the estate of Philip K. Wrigley’s permission, with a public hearing possible if the estate objects. Neighborhood residents oppose demolition to avoid high rise apartments on adjoining lots. Built in 1896 for brewer Joseph Theurer, the mansion sits on the North Side.
