Rain eased Thursday allowing large crowds over the three day event. Saturday showed near perfect weather for the parade as floats from SFunes Homemakers and FBLA entries impressed. some floats were deemed ineligible for prize money due to late registrar and officials huddled to enforce rules.

Carol Stocker spent Sunday at the Don Pettibotte home. Mex Rodgers and family from Loveland Colo. spent two weeks with George Turner and left Sunday. The Shields family and Sue of Mt Ayr were dinner guests at the Ivan Hatsh home. Edna Dyphion visited Jay Wilson on Tuesday. Alva Cridlebaugh and Loyd Carter hosted Monday evening. Margaret Goodwin and grandchildren from Oxford returned home after visiting Frances Burton. L E Jordan and children of Polk Mo. stayed with Ivan Harsh Saturday night. Lynda Wood stayed with Dorothy and Genevieve Donovan and with Junior Donovan and Grace Dooley on weekend. John oe Welte visited Monday evening. Jay Wilsons family attended a birthday supper for Mrs Flossie Wilson at the Junior White home Sunday evening. Ivan Harshes family visited Jay Wilson Friday evening.
Decorated Cup Cake entries lead with Janice Vickroy taking first. Grace Veach wins nut bread, with Dorothy Potts runner up. Mary Proctor tops white bread, while Dorothy Potts is first in light rolls. Multiple entries in pies, cookies, and florals are led by Carolyn Van Dorin, Olive Tarbell, and Virga Boyer, with numerous second place finishes.

Almost everyone joined the Moravia fall festival last week. Mrs. R. S. Faber and Mrs. Harold Hawk helped serve dinner at the E U B church on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moffett and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore of Fairfield were overnight guests at the Russell Hughes home Saturday night. Dallas Faber, Nancy Carol, and Bobby attended with Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Faber and Mrs. Ida Griffin then traveled to Iowa.
Sunday to Monday visits fill Miller area as Norma Led and Nadine Faber stay with Joe Prif fin family in Ottumwa during mother’s hospital stay. Multiple calls and dinners mark the weekend with Harolds, Cr eeches, and Comstocks visiting, public sale attended, and Miss Barbara Strunk missing school. Several families including the Williams, Tubaugh, and Gad are noted with various guests and hospital visits.
