Walters Golden Anniversary Draws 220 Attendees
About 220 persons attended the golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Mearl Walter at Grace Methodist church. Seven children and families joined the morning service, 77 dined at Maurice Walter's home, open house ran 2 to 4 pm, and gifts included a TV set. Several distant relatives traveled from Hinsdale, Norwalk, Kalamazoo, Aurora, and other towns to celebrate.

Charles Argo, seriously injured in a June tractor accident, is continuing his Moravia schoolwork from home via telephone. Superintedent A. R. Mr and Mrs Frank Swaim and Rev and Mrs F A Richardson and daughter were in a Sunday afternoon car collision near Albia on the Hocking hill. No one was injured. The Swaim car swiped a trailing vehicle and boat trailer, damaging the Swain car and a following car. total damage about 300 dollars.

Accident Injures Three Here Friday
A serious auto crash occurred about 3/4 mile south of Moravia on highway 60 Friday morning around 8 30 when two cars collided head on. Alberta Logan of Centerville who was heading north turned out behind a truck to pass and struck a car driven by Richard Mikels of Centerville. Robert Houston of Albia, a passenger in Mikels car, was thrown from the vehicle. Mikels and Houston were taken to Albia in Turner ambulance and were not seriously injured. Mrs Logan was taken to Centerville hospital in a passerby car with a broken arm pelvis and lacerations.
