Ray Ramblin and his Missus left early Tuesday for a few days causing no column copy this week. The Hnotype machine ran dry and the Oehler Bros two page spread stalled the feature. Readers are urged to return when class resumes next week.

Will Hagerman at Darrell Cooper and Leo Hoffman homes. Gene McCrory and Lloyd Callen hosted Sunday dinner with Mae Francis McCrory Colleen Sharron and Ronald McSparen as afternoon guests.
Sheila O CONNOR spent Friday night to Sunday at Kenneth O CONNOR home with Harold Clark and Carol of New Sharon. Cynthia Callen and Theo Miller visited Mrs Clara Lemaster after church. Thursday night guests at Wm Anderson home included Clarence Anderson Glen Anderson and Gerald Staley and families.
The Cox cousins gathered October 15 16 at Pla-Port Resort Osage Beach to celebrate the eighth reunion begun in 1948. Clyde Cox and Kate Wooster were re elected leaders. Ruth Cox Wilson new secretary treasurer for 1956. About 40 attendees from eight states enjoyed a scenic drive boat ride and a turkey dinner, with gifts for oldest cousin Rose Wallace and four others. The 1956 meet will be at Carlsbad Cavern New Mexico.
Ice cream enjoyed at home as Pat Hawk and Rita Gardner spent nights with friends. Several families including Burns, O Conner, Sears, Argo, and Boblenz hosted visits and dinners across Mora and Russell. A 4H meeting was held at Bud Walter home and Rev Thomas stopped by Kenneth O Connor Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs Cy Hall of Albia and Mrs Jille Phillips of Oskaloosa join a regional social roster. The group includes Mr and Mrs Phil Cobby, Mr and Mrs Lowell Harris, Nim, Mr and Mrs Roll Burns of Des Moines, Mrs Anna Smith, and Mr and Mrs Frank Wilson of Moravia, Iowa.
Wesley Chapel M Y F met at the church with 21 youths present. Mrs Juanita Dooley provided hamburgers cupcakes and kolache. The White sale yielded about 45 dollars and visitors traveled to Kirksville Paris and Burlington as neighbors visited.
