The A B C Club met October 18 with a plan for November 7 initiations and a speakers lineup from National Convention delegates. Moravia seniors presented a lively assembly program with vocal duets and solos, and Moravia boys beat Cincinnati 20 to 16. A broadcast and classroom notes followed, including local projects, a sand table city name contest, and playful health notes on kissing and germs.
Udell residents and relatives were out visiting and calling across nearby towns. The column lists many names and households in Udell, Centerville, Moravia and Hiattsville as they share visits, calls, and farm work from late last week to Sunday. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Mrs Josaph Baker's home south of Unionville. The aged lady had many friends and acquaintances who mourn her passing. Mr and Mrs J F Chambers and Mrs Gerald Hunter visited Sunday at the Sigourney home of Mr and Mrs L L Vittetoe. The Vittetoe family, former neighbors, welcomed back their friends, and their daughter Ming Clea works as deputy county treasurer.
