Mr and Mrs Arthur Lewis, Marilyn, Janice and Bobby of Des Moines spent Saturday night and Sunday at the Robert Jennings home. Mr and Mrs George Hellyer, Patty and Karol Ann spent Sunday at the Dell Hellyer home. Mr and Mrs Robert Jennings spent Monday evening at the Roscoe Argo home. Mrs Delbert Calhoun was taking the church census in this vicinity Saturday. Mr and Mrs Raymond Perry and sons spent Sunday at the Fred Sheldon home. A doctor was called to see Mrs Cass Hamilton Wednesday. She is slowly improving. Mrs Lloyd Brown, Mrs Jim McAninch and Mrs Harley Tisue called on Mrs Cass Hamilton.
Wednesday afternoon Rev. King visited Mr. and Mrs. Cass Hamilton. Jerry Brown of Cedar Rapids returned home sick with flu and expects to work Monday. Delbert Calhoun and family attended a Sunday school party at Icon United Methodist Church Friday. Lloyd Brown visited Mrs. Bob Sweeden Thursday and spent Friday with Mrs. Jim McAninch. Mrs. Raymond Perry hosted the Sharighat club Wednesday. A 4-H hayride at Jim McAninch home Thursday included Dick Sweeden, Tony Sweeden, Richard Perry, Richard Calhoun, Orville McCord and Sandra Whitehead. Delbert Calhoun and family with Eugene Jackson and Paul of Ottumwa visited Amy Hiner Sunday.
The Moravia fire department was called to the Lloyd Landgrebe home Sunday morning. Due to quick work of friends and neighbors little damage occurred. Sunday dinner guests at various homes included Mr and Mrs Kenneth Fawkey and Bud Stringfellow, with several others visiting neighbors and relatives.
Wakefield residents Mr Aha and Mrs Bob Seiesziisti hosted visiting relatives including Harold Deah Lonnie and Bearl Brown and Lola Hawk. Gerald Rinehart and sons visited Dorman Landgrebe home with Bill and Kenneth Landgrebe families and David Lippert and Duane. Mark Padovich joined Dale Fenton for Thursday evening. Leon Adams and girls were supper guests at Gerald Rinehart's Sunday.
