Moravia Woman Dies After Long Life of Local Work
Nancy Josephine Chority, 82, of Moravia, died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, September 30, at her home. Born August 17, 1880, she married Elmer W. Chority and had two daughters and a son Raymond. Surviving are her son, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was a devout member of Moravia E U B church and a 50-year member of the Moulton Rebekah lodge. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Turner funeral home with interment in Moravia cemetery.

Collision on Highway Near Dewey's Place Tuesday
A blue Chevrolet Corvair from Davenport and a brown Dodge from Des Moines collided near Dewey's place shortly after noon Tuesday.
