SGT Forrest Hamilton Home On Furlough
SGT Forrest Hamilton arrived Wednesday for a 15 day furlough with his parents Mr and Mrs Homer Hamilton. He served with the Army of Occupation in the 12th Tactical Air Command near Munich Germany and was sent back to the U S for reassignment. He entered service March 3 1943 and overseas in 1944. He saw action in France Belgium and Germany. He retired December 15 1945 for a three year period in Munich. On January 12 1946 he married Joan Greenfield of Dagenham England. Mrs Hamilton will join him once papers are signed. He will report to Barksdale Field after furlough.

Moravia native R E Cummins received a letter from Mrs W H Bradley of 1701 18th Boulder Colorado reporting the death of her husband W H Bradley August 29 1947 after a fall and hip fracture. Centerville tax and accounting chief John Bartle died Sunday at 9 20 AM in St Josephs hospital after illness. Born July 14 1895 in Centerville he worked with the Federal Income Tax Department in Ottumwa before opening Bartle Tax and Accounting.
