That Week in the Press and Public Notices
Ernie Pyle notes it takes half a day to write a column while Mrs. Roosevelt claims thirty minutes yet cites Pyle as superior. The paper recounts a slow press run then a jammed roller needing kerosene cleaning and a revived, purring machine. An ad promised a stationary deal drew printing customers who wanted everything but what was advertised. Union advertising is said to yield results. A riddle asks how to fix a slow tire with a small leak it can’t locate.
