The board met in an adjourned session on November 1, 1943 with all members present and approved numerous claims. Expenditures include sheriff fees, office supplies, text books, timber, fuel, medical services, insurance, and various county services.

The drill featured a trumpeting forward march, crease and decrease front, and the Fight song in M formation. Credit is given to drum major Helen Felton, Mrs Lucille Cleve, and the director for the girls glea club.
Eligible members of the National Thespian club meet weekly. Next Wednesday afternoon they perform a play in a special assembly titled Yesterday's Rations by Mr G Elsey. Cast includes John Laws David Pullman Josephine Smith and Louise Sawvel.
eighth grade students study areas of geometric figures in arithmetic while a miniature clay band, built by Jack Browhar, performs during class. George Tracy will edit school news for six weeks as the eighth grade retains the large red white and blue stars display.
First graders read basic readers and color Thanksgiving pictures while noting gratitude. Second graders study dental care with Think and Do Workbooks and hear Indian tales from Charles Scareliff. Mrs. Oehler visited. illness and a cold caused absences. Third and fourth grades explore Indians, make wallpaper beads, and sew doll dresses as Indian dolls are planned. illnesses caused some absences. plants growing steadily. Fifth and sixth grades start a new reading book Jim the Wonder Dog. a Monday show entertained them. Thanksgiving pictures fill the walls. Rome history and six week tests plus geography unit test noted.
Mary Rose Main stands as the only pupil with perfect spelling scores this far. She has not been absent or tardy all year. Most students are back in class. Barbara Cousins and John Robinson, eighth graders, remain absent due to illness.
