Village Florist closure followed by a garage sale and help wanted ad

The Village Florist and Boutique will be closed May 29 and 30 for a long weekend. A garage sale at 204 West North lists clothing, toys, a waterski, drapes, and more, with participants Rex, L. Rex, M. Raymie, and D. Wilson. An Eagle Industries notice seeks a part time dispenser service with $995 to $1,995 capital. Wesley Women's Society met at Eva Tucker's. Good Samaritan Deed In St. Louis Cited By Paper

In a St. Louis Globe Democrat notice, Robert Harsh and Eugene Goldsand are praised for aiding late night driver Burton Connolly. Harsh, an FBI civilian employee and part time university student, and Goldsand, a University of Missouri arts student, helped push a failing car to the curb and escorted Connolly and his wife home.

Clover Leaf Club Met At Wayne Christy Home

The Clover Leaf Club gathered at the Wayne Christy residence on May 17 for a coop dinner with Edith Callen, Glennie Dicks, Truxton Dicks, Janice Moore, Bill Moore, Dwight Fenton, Ethel Fenton, Vera Moore, Elbert Moore, Mabel Moore, DeWayne Moore, Ernestine Argo, and Roy Argo. A June 17 coop supper at Lake Rathbun was planned, no more meetings until September, with the Sept 20 gathering at Glennie and Truxton Dicks. Edith Callen won the guess what.
