Mrs Earl Swift reports cordial visits and social events in lFRANKLIN. Al and Leslie Derby called on Roscoe Argo Tuesday. Several couples and families shared meals and attended parties at various homes including Bernard Dicks and Earl Swift residences. Visitors included John Herman of Oregon and Mary MacFatridge at Albia Manor, with many local friends visiting over the weekend and weekdays.

Mr and Mrs L C Beagle and Mrs Robert Cudworth with daughter of Ottumwa visited Mr and Mrs Kenneth Hiatt. Mr and Mrs Robert Sheldon called at the Kenneth Daniels home Friday. Wayne McDanels received Mervin McDanel Gene Kim Doyle McDanel and Carolyn Lindt Jordi. Kenneth Daniels Virgil Dooley and Susan attended the SCA meeting at Moravia Monday in Mr Fenton’s honor. Debra McDanel helped the girls collect for Cerebral palsy Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon she joined the Bluebird Garden club.
