Federated Clubs Meet in Moravia for Annual Gathering

Federated Women's clubs of Appanoose county plan their annual meeting in Moravia on a Wednesday in May at the United Brethren Church. Public sessions begin with roll call and business, followed by addresses, musical numbers, and a public luncheon. Delegates from clubs including Wednesday, Qut tock, Research, Beta Delphian, Alpha Delphian, Entre Nous, and various Moravian groups are expected.

Pearl Moss Marries Floyd Greenley at Moss Home

On Saturday April 20 at the Moss home in Moss-Greenley the marriage of Pearl Moss to Floyd Greenley of Corydon Iowa was performed by Rev Orlando Ogden at high noon in front of invited guests. A bounteous dinner followed and the couple will reside on a farm in Corydon.

Moravian Relief Fund Subscriptions Urgently Requested

Moravians raise 81.50 for flood relief in Moravia, but Red Cross has increased the quota. Urges all residents to donate at once to Chairman J. B. Sneed to aid homeless men, women, and children affected by recent storms and floods. Community tradition urged to go over the top.

Obituary of I N McDonough Moravia Iowa 1927

Isaac Newton McDonough born Ohio 1861 dies at Moravia Iowa April 27 1927 after long illness. He lived near Leon before moving to Moravia did mercantile farming and benevolent acts. Survived by four children Ralph Rolla Mably Bosse, two brothers Brice and William, four sisters and many friends. Funeral April 30 at Moravia with local clergy and choir. Card of thanks incomplete but expresses gratitude for sympathy.

Goose Hangs High shines in senior class play at school

A capacity audience saw the Senior Class perform The Goose Hangs High in the school auditorium last Friday. Superintendent M H Goldner supervised the production. Co-Ed Music Makers Delight Moravia Audience

The Co-Ed Music Makers from Iowa Wesleyan College appeared at the High School Auditorium last Saturday, delivering a polished program Despite short notice the seven member group played violin, cello, trumpet, tuba, and whistling solos plus duets and a brass sextette under Prof. R. P. Bowers. The Whistling solos by Miss Rogers drew special praise.
