John Clark and family spent Sunday at the Ted Broshar home. Coy Luse and family visited Sunday at the parental Simmona home. Daphne McDanel spent Sunday at the dim Easter here. Averill Kaster's and family and Wille McDanel were afternoon visitors.
Vernal Boshak spends days with friend John Riley in Waterloo. Mrs. Cody Luse and daughter visit George's Fairfield home. Ottie Whicker and family of Moulston join at John Whicker's home. Tom Morrison and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boyer and Mrs. Craig Weathers visit John.
Families and friends visited in many homes including McDanel Purvis Beach and Vosburg circles. A Red Cross flood relief drive raised 42.50 after a 25 pledge. Local church dedications, anniversaries, and hospital visits rounded out a busy week in Centerville with multiple social calls and community updates.

Laura Patrick and daughter shopped in Albia. Ralph Strickler stayed with Charlie Foster. Grant and Lee Tadlock delivered hogs at Moravia. Velda Pence and Oneila Foster spent the weekend at home. The Lee Tadlocks and Grant Tadlocks with daughters spent Sunday at Dave Caylor’s. The Buckinghams, Glicks and Ralph Strickler spent Sunday at Charlie Foster’s. The Ray McClouds and the Wesleys plus R J Funkhouser and families dined at Harry Woodward’s. Charlie Hough’s spent Sunday evening at Harry Woodward’s.
Sunday evening calls at J D Sheldon home mark a quiet week in Franklin Township. Death of Mrs Ike Turner shocks local families while neighbors extend sympathy. Weekend visits include McFatridge, Moffett, Stephens, Sheldon, and Repp households with Albia callers noted. Open season on Channel Swimmers teased and Roy Haynes returns to head the dry army with new ideas.
A large Sunday audience heard H W Smith in morning and evening sermons. Rev Cox is scheduled to preach next Sunday to draw another big crowd.
