The Twentieth Century Reading club held its last meeting of the year at Mrs Raymond Ashby’s house. A cooperative dinner was served at 12:30 with 12 members present. Secretaries and a reading were enjoyed as mystery parts were revealed and new names drawn for the year. The club will reconvene the first Tuesday in October.

Union Editor to sail on seven week Navy cruise
Union's editor Ray Charity will join the Navy's Midshipman Training cruise aboard USS Northampton from Norfolk.
