The Moravia Union enters secured class matter status on February 23, 1905, at Moravia Iowa, under the act of March 3 1879. The notice appears in the Moravia post office records for publication.
Former Appanoose county assessor Lloyd Rose began work as a bookkeeper at Success Barbor & Supply Co. Also at the firm is ex Monroe county auditor employee Mrs. Lee Caster. Ex Appanoose county supervisor Lee Benz resigned to join the Moravia Iowa Trust & Savings Bank, with banking duties slated to start August 1.
Fall ASCS support for soybeans is set at 2.27 with rains expected to boost yields. Large bean acreage and vigorous growth suggest bumper crops locally barring disasters. Mr and Mrs Leonard Wasko and Carol and Mr and Mrs Bob Eastlick spent Sunday at Sam Eastlicks. Mr and Mrs Coy Swift spent Sunday evening with Carland. Donald Calhoun, Mr and Mr James Calhoun, Roseann and Shirley and Mr and Mrs Earl Swift attended Memorial services for Dr Fred Edwards at Centerville Methodist Church Friday afternoon. Mrs Bill Ohara visited at the Ben Pickerell home Sunday afternoon. Mr and Mrs Larry Derby are the parents of a son born at the St Josephs hospital in Centerville Monday. He has been named Mark Larry.
Mrs Ralph Pfannebecker hosts visits as Udall community members share weekend travel and family gatherings. Leonard Palmer and Lester Murdy stop by the Pfannebecker home while Clifford Pfannebecker spends Sunday evening with Ralph Pfannebecker. Roger Minnick of Moulton visits Derrill Pfannebecker. Merrick visitors include Bob Schoene and family and Josie Stuckey’s relatives from Des Moines.
Mr and Mrs David Argo of Enti claw Washington visit H B Alvin and L A Spring homes. Mrs Joe Moore and children dine with Cec il Motlan. Guests include Mr and Mrs Bruce Duty and children of Mexico Missouri. Ronald Dotson and family of Chicago call on Aunt Edna Moore. Gunny Jordan of Woodhill Iowa spent weekend with Ben Glasgows. Gene Glasgow of Lake Utah vacationing with mother Verlie Glasgow. Bob Barrickmat and family of Oskaloosa stay with Howard Burkland. Carl Webber attends memorial for Rev Hugh Guy of Oskaloosa, former pastor at Udell and Moulton churches. Mrs Floyd Moffatt visits Minnie Moffatt home. Floyd a supper guest. Edsa Moore and Ronald Dotson family of Chicago supper with Raymond Hughes of Centerville.
