Edna Mae Luse and Lillian Rick returned from Des Moines after two weeks with relatives. Various families shared meals and gatherings at Lake Wapello and Centerville area, with guests from Hedrick to Stillwater Oklahoma. A mix of dinners, shopping trips, and social visits marked the weekend and nearby towns.

Guests include Mr. and Mrs. John Pendleton of Des Moines, Mrs. Sarah Tillmont, the Tillmont family, the Callen and Lichty households, and visitors from Tampa Los Angeles Ottumwa Albia Des Moines Humeston Unionville Orris.

Applicants must file by August 28 1947 with the Iowa State Tax Commission and have resided in Appanoose County for at least one year.
