Ottumwa colored team game to aid Parent-Teachers
An Ottumwa clash with a colored team is set for Thursday evening at 7180 with proceeds earmarked for the Parent-Teachers association. Funeral services for Claus Harteen were held at the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon with burial in Unionville Cemetery. Harteen died Monday evening after a long illness. Mrs. David Underwood hosted the American Legion Auxiliary Monday evening. Mrs. D. S. Benton hosted a pre nuptial shower for granddaughter Barbara Fenton Tuesday afternoon. The Union Neighbors gathered with Mrs. Shirlay Townsend on Wednesday Jan 11 with eight members. Mrs. Russell Alden and Mrs. John Kelley demonstrated a dress pattern measurement.
