A Village Column of Notes and Odd Bits from Town
Anonymous contributions present a satirical poem on women in politics and business, a child’s mischief tale, a 1849 sale advertisement copied from Roy Adams, and assorted local snippets. The verse mocks a woman entering public life while recounting a tavern scene and a needlework aside. An old Oregon Territory sale lists farm property and hoarded goods for March 1849.
