Hazel Boyer helped Thelma McDarel with her butchering Thurs. Mr and Mrs Lloyd McDanel and children had supper at the home of Mr and Mrs Lee Johnson one night last week. Clyde Gladfelder is helping Jess Gladfelder build a shed. Nelson Ballenger spent Sunday with Kester Gladfelder.
Hiattsville Women’s Society of Christian Charity met with a large group Thursday. New officers were installed with Rev. E L Pullman in charge and Miss Lulu Burton elected president. The group planned two sales next week. Refreshments were served. Several locals were noted in hospital and at home recovering, with updates on Mrs. Rubyn Brees and others. A closing out sale at Lige McDanel’s farm is planned prior to moving to Moravia.
