The mid week services at Hilton ran through the year without missing totaling 69 weeks with 2 290 in attendance. The Boy Scouts had 967 attendees for the year. Girl Scouts are starting nicely and Sunday Schools conducted 5 Sundays with 200 attendees out of 70 Sundays since Sept 1830. Despite mud and weather, Sunday Schools services young people meetings and mid week services met regularly. the new year is expected to bring greater success.

Death of Mrs Marshall White Occurred Sunday
Mrs Marshall White died Sunday morning at her Centerville area home from a paralyzing stroke. Services were held Monday at 2 PM at the Presbyterian church in Centerville with Rev Mott Sawyers officiating. Born March 24 1861 near Unionville she taught in Grimes and other rural schools. Survived by husband Marshall White Jr five living children plus two deceased, seven grandchildren and two sisters. The widow had long been a Presbyterian.
