Scout Show Tickets on Sale in Centerville
Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in the Conestoga Wagon District begin selling tickets on Feb. 15 for the 1975 Scout Show to be held March 15 at Indian Hills Community College Centerville. Tickets are $1 per family. Exhibits include bicycle safety home repairs camping and pottery with Pinewood derby racing and Mitigwa dancers from Des Moines performing traditional dances under the theme Be Safe Be Fit.

Rural Water Construction To Start Soon
Ralph Goode, chairman of the Rathbun Regional Water Association, announced the first notice of public hearing and letting for bids was advertised on February 6. Public hearing and bid openings are set for March 12 and 13, 1975 at Centerville Municipal Building. The project covers 583 miles of pipe, five storage tanks, serving 1383 customers with an estimated cost over 5.6 million dollars across areas in Appanoose, Monroe, Wayne, Lucas, and Clark counties. Bids for service areas 1 and 6 are targeted by February end, with more areas following, hoping heavy construction in summer 1975. Goode notes cost fluctuations make planning difficult but remains optimistic about favorable bids.
