Moravia senior Merla Prater wins Homemaker of Tomorrow
Merla Prater, 18, a Moravia high school senior, received the Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow award at the local FHA meeting on Friday February 7. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Prater, she was born in Shelbyville Illinois and moved to Moravia last spring after living in Eaton Ohio. Merla excels in Speech Home Economics III American Government and Spanish and participates in Glee Club Mixed Chorus FHA Library Club Student Council church activities and the Franklin Happy Helpers 4-H Club. She said she was surprised and honored to be recognized as a Homemaker of Tomorrow.
