Argo Swan Roll McCord guests at Will Haver’s. Rodney Ellis dies in Oskaloosa aged 79, noted for knitting for soldiers. Funeral in Oskaloosa Feb 6. Chas Dunn dies at Fremont aged 81, attendances of McCord and Turner families at funeral. Rev Clarence Gilliland dies in Los Angeles Jan 28. friends remember him in the Iowa community. Mr Vosburgh Turner Potts of Buckeye Arizona attend LA service. Local dinners hosted by Beaty, Brown, Eaton, Derby, Dicks. M E Aid reports good attendance and quilt work. Enon Helping Hand meets. fire scare reported

Enon Helping Hand club met with Mr and Mrs George Reid Thursday with 20 present. The Indias quilted on an Ocean Wave quilt while men cut wood for Mr Li on J T VanDorin farm. A lighted match started dry grass, burning several acres but caused no damage. Various local residents appeared at events and birthdays, with neighbors planning a valentines party. Russell Hindman broke a finger cranking a truck. several families planned moves and funerals, and cancer treatment on Tows City trip ended with doctors declaring recovery.

Richard Burton spent Saturday night with Clifton Boardman while the Reid family visited relatives in Russell. Ed Robinson and family were dinner guests at the Clarence Wilson home on Sunday. Several families moved, hosted, or visited others, including the Billings and Mattany families at the L. C. Johannes home. A funeral for Mrs. Clark Smith was attended in Abbie by E. F. Boardman and M. E. Boardman. Dozens shared meals, birthdays, and neighborhood chats, with DeWayne Robinson front and center at a birthday gathering for his eleventh year. A large birthday surprise at the Ed Robinson home drew sixty five neighbors.

Fuller and Carlyle Long along with Sess and Junior Smith were visitors in Albia on Thursday evening. Several neighbors and family members attended including the Lathens Burns Tisues Kincade Smith Allen and many others. Birthday wishes were extended to O Blawick whose birthday is February 8 and who turns 88.

Wood cutting at Ralph Tuttle's Thursday. Mr and Mrs Virgil Kanter and children Harold Zelda and Ray Brown spent Friday evening at Tom McCrory's to celebrate Pearl's birthday. Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served. Mrs Adda Robinson and Mr and Mrs Edd Brown and children of Albia spent Thursday afternoon at Homer Brown's. Several from this community were Albia callers Saturday. Dean Robinson spent Sunday afternoon with Ray Brown. Harold Brown was in Moravia Monday.
