First round games of the boys conference tournament were played at Udell Monday night. Moulton defeated Cincinnati 40-37 and Mystic beat Udell 58-39. Mystic faces Troy in the opening game with Moravia meeting Moulton in the second. Consolation and final games occur Friday night at Udell. Moravia meets Hedrick in sectional play at Ottumwa Saturday night.

Thomas J. Terrell 72 of Hutchinson Kansas died of a heart attack January 29. He is survived by his wife Ruth and two sons. He was brother of Mrs Homer Afterback of Moravia. Three nieces are Mrs Cyril McDanel Moravia Mrs James Culbertson Moline Ill and Mrs Odie Newell Ottumwa. Funeral services were held January 31 at Hutchinson with Mrs Utterback unable to attend from Washington DC.
