Mrs. Har Stocker learned Wednesday that her brother Clydé Locke age 39 of Clegro Tl died in a Chicago hospital after a long illness. Born near Moravia, he was son of Samuel Locker of Moravis and Cynthia Anamite of Albia. He leaves a wife and three children, plus a brother, three sisters, and his parents. Burial may be in Moravia as funeral plans are pending.

Mrs. Elma Albertson Dies At 74 Near Odell
Elma Jane Albertson died Monday morning at her son Alva’s home two miles northeast of Odell after a four year illness and six weeks post stroke. Born in Apanoose county to Jeremian and Nahey Hayworth Stevens, she married James Alberta on September 11, 1888. She was predeceased by her husband and four infant sons. Survived by seven children and many grandchildren, funeral at Unionville Baptist Church with burial in Eaton Cemetery.

A Moravia native about 40 years ago she is survived by daughter Mia Lucille Smith Cedar Rapids and son John Robinson Corydon Funeral services were held Monday at Lily Funeral Home Des Moines.

Car And Truck Collision At Mora Underpass
A Saturday morning near head on collision at the Mora underpass on Highway 60 led to Reuben Anderson of Albia being charged with leaving the scene. His plea of not guilty came before Justice Henderson in Centerville. The crash damaged Toepfer’s car and injured no one seriously. Anderson later surrendered to sheriff Bailey and posted a $100 bond for a Centerville court hearing on February 13.
