The E T C club met Thursday afternoon with Mrs Howard Carson. Roll call was a gift exchange. Mrs M F Schneider won the door prize. The hostess gave a reading Christ Inspired Birth. Delicious refreshments were served at the close of the afternoon.
County records show budget items and expenditures across funds including office supplies from Blank Book Company Centerville with 16 cents, salaries for field assessor Sprouse and instructor Rose, and various hospital and Bangs disease funds. Numerous labor, repair, and refund entries list names such as Davis Greenleaf and Milani with small payments, plus a large equipment and fence move line item and a municipal water service—reflecting a typical board session round of financial allocations.
The W. C. S. met Wednesday at the Methodist church for their regular meeting and a dessert luncheon. Hostesses were Mrs. D. E. Bishop Edith Dodd Anna Easter and Miss Sadie Palmer. Mrs. John Veach and Mrs. Bishop led the program and Mrs. Mearl Walter led the study period. Mr. and Mrs. Carson Jordan and Faith visited the Hubert Staggs home in Seymour. In the afternoon Mrs. Staggs and the Jordans attended the funeral of Mrs. Jordan's great aunt Sade Rockwell, 93, in Seymour.
